SHELTON-AID

In January of 2008, Alex Shelton an ISU student and a Phi Kappa Psi brother, had a tragic accident that hospitalized him for several months. He was suffering from a head injury, broken jaw and wrist. In February of 2008, Phi Kappa Psi put on the very first Shelton Aid week for Alex Shelton. Shelton Aid was a success. We raised over $5,000 that went directly to Alex.

So as a tribute to Alex we have created Shelton Aid as an annual event to help raise money to those who are in need. It can either be an organization or another greek. We recently just performed our 3rd Shetlon-Aid week to help out a fellow greek, Matt Heinzeman.

During the whole week we will be having a Coin Drive. We will have jars placed at each event and anyone can dump their loose change in as a donation towards Shelton Aid.

You can MAKE DONATIONS and check out our past events shown below.

ALCOHOL AWARENESS

In 2007, Phi Kappa Psi started the annual Alcohol Awareness event hosted on the Quad with the surrounding law enforcement including Normal, Bloomington, Illinois State University, and McLean County Police. We hope to raise awareness of the effects of Alcohol on individuals as well as on others. Our former President, Jamieson Duff, developed and carried out the event. Just one more thing Phi Kappa Psi is doing to become one of the premiere fraternities on campus. Here is an article from our first hosting of Alcohol Awareness.
